A very successful Royal Welsh Winter Fair saw Rob judging the pig classes on the Monday followed by the Championships on Tuesday. later in the day, Rob went on to buy one of the pair of Champion pigs along with another pair, exhibited by Andrew Davies of Llanon. Also among Rob’s purchases were 8 prize winning beef animals wich included a Lim heifer from T C Edwards a’i Feibion, Betws Gwerfyl Goch; a Welsh Black Heifer from local breeder Huw Jones, Cwmcae, Bow Street; the Reserve Limousin Heifer and a 2nd placed Blonde Heifer from Aeron & Berwyn Hughes of Cwmhendryd; a Limousin steer produced by local brothers Derrick & Lyn Davies of Trefenter; a Blue-x Steer from other local producers Wil, Meinir & Angharad Davies, Brynglas, Ponterwyd and a Lim-x steer from Annie Lewis of Brecon. All have produced prime quality beef and will be available at the shop for Christmas.
