It was great to see progeny of the Rattrays Beltex flock receiving rosettes at the pre-Sale Show at Welshpool on Wednesday. Winning the Female Championship was Tywi Wispa from Ioan Jones, who is sired by Rattrays Stan the Man, sold to the Tywi flock at the 2013 Welsh Beltex Club Sale and a son of our home-bred Rattrays Mr Urdd who has produced tremendous stock within our flock. The 3rd prize winner in the Shearling Ewe class came from the same flock, and was a daughter of Rattrays Mol, sold to Ioan Jones as an aged ewe and she again being a half sister to our Mr Urdd, 3rd in the ewe lamb class also went to Ioan Jones with the daughter of Rattrays Nest. Well done Tywi flock.
